This client is a boutique fashion designer based in Melbourne, with a long standing reputation for innovative and cutting edge design sourced from around world. They source both materials and finished goods from their suppliers and sell to a wide range of speciality outlet retailers here in Australia.
The client is an existing Scottish Pacific client using a debtor finance facility. Because of the seasonal nature of their business they required additional support to assist with their overseas purchases, mainly materials, from China. Occasionally their supplier also offered price drops and changing exchange rates also meant they needed to have access to funding to capitalise on favourable rates and prices.
Their finance broker introduced the client to Scottish Pacific Tradeline to put together a solution. Working with the client and their existing Debtor Finance Client Management Team we were able to put in place a $250,000 Tradeline facility to provide funds to purchase in their seasonal peaks. Now, the client has significantly more buying power at their disposal to buy more stock when the opportunities arise.
