This distributor of high-end, fashionable eyewear had seen great success with a range of globally recognised brands. A new range of products, promoted by celebrity endorsements and respected fashion publications, led to a significant increase in demand.
The distributor needed to purchase more stock in order meet the sudden growth. Extra funds were required to pay suppliers upfront and minimise strain on the business' cashflow. Having been self-funded and without extra property to offer as security, the business was unable to access addiitonal working capital.
